Edição de luxo comemora carreira solo de Mark Knopfler
A gravadoras EMI / UMC confirmaram o lançamento do novo box set Mark Knopfler - The Studio Albums 1996-2007 para o dia 1º de outubro. Nos EUA, esta compilação será lançada em 10 de de dezembro. O box de luxo inclui os registros em vinil preto de 180 gramas e CD separadamente. O material comemora o 25º aniversário do álbum de estreia solo do lendário guitarrista, Golden Heart, de 1996, que está entre os primeiros cinco álbuns de estúdio da coleção, dos nove que ele lançou em sua carreira inigualável.
Os outros álbuns da coleção, todos de enorme sucesso e reverenciados pela crítica em todo o mundo, são Sailing To Philadelphia (2000), The Ragpicker's Dream (2002), Shangri-La (2004) e Kill To Get Crimson (2007). O conjunto também inclui um disco bônus exclusivo de lados B gravados em estúdio, Gravy Train: The B-Sides 1996-2007.
O lançamento marca a primeira vez que Golden Heart, Sailing To Philadelphia e Gravy Train: The B-Sides 1996-2007, estão sendo lançados em vinil.
